Gilmour
posted a very positive review
of Domainers Meet on his blog today,
noting "Congratulations are in order to all of the organisers of Domainers Meet in
Dubai. I know that a lot of business will be conducted as a
result and there are plans in place already to run the conference
again next year."
Gilmour
added, "Many domain
luminaries shared their
experience including but not
limited to Braden Pollock
(Legal Brand Marketing),
Tessa Holcomb (Igloo), Rob
Monster (Epik), Rolf
Larsen (.GLOBAL), Francesco
Cetraro (.CLOUD), Daliah
Saper (Attorney) plus a
lot of others. A real
highlight for me was hearing
from Munir Badr who
spoke on the state of the
domain/internet industry in
the UAE."
The
landmark event drew
mainstream media coverage that
will also help boost
awareness of the importance
of domain names in the
region's business community.
Holcomb, Saper and fellow
Domainers Meet speaker Adam
Wagner (Founder &
CEO, GCCInternet.com) were
all featured in a Kahleej
Times article
about the conference. Wagner
told the Times,
"GCC states offer massive
opportunities for the
domain name industry and
they have proved to be an
effective way of marketing
communication for both
online and offline. The
implementation of
professionally-selected
domain names offer
competitive advantage
through instant recognition
and credibility to the
business." |
