India's
first pair of conferences devoted
solely to domain investing will be
completed Sunday (Sept. 7,
2014) when the DomainX
Conference makes its
debut in Hyderabad. The
event, being staged by the Domain
Name Owners Association of India
at the Hyderabad
Marriott Hotel & Convention
Centre, follows the
inaugural World Domain
Day conference that was held August
24 at the Avasa Hotel in
the same city.
DomainX
has assembled an impressive international
cast of speakers including two
keynoters. Michael Castello
of CCIN.com
(and the subject of our February
2014 Cover
Story after he sold Whisky.com
for $3.1 million) will kick
off the conference with a keynote
talk delivered via Skype. I will
join Michael for the second half of
his session to do a Q & A with
him and will also field questions
from the audience.
Michael
and I had both intended to be there in
person but there has been a major
breakdown in the Indian
visa system (due to a new third
party processor that has proven to
be incompetent) that has prevented
scheduled speakers from the U.S.
from getting into the country on
time. Thanks to technology we can
still appear and interact with the
audience via Skype though.
That
session will be followed by an in
person keynote talk delivered by Deepak
Daftari who is one of
India's best
known domain and angel
investors.

is a session that will cover How
to Make Money in Domain Name Market.
Due to the time difference it will
be 3am U.S. Eastern time Sunday
morning when our session is wrapping
up but we are confident the
adrenaline rush will keep both of us
up well past our normal bedtimes!
A lunch
break will be followed by a very
busy afternoon that is scheduled to
feature individual talks (both
virtual and in person) from James
Wester, Pavan Duggal, Edmon
Chung, Kartik Taneja and Morgan
Linton. There will also be a
star-studded Legal Discussion
featuring an international panel and
a panel discussion about Opportunities
in India for Domain Name Investing.
