There is much more going on that you
are not hearing about due to non-disclosure agreements (NDAs). A
leading broker told me this week that 90% of his company's
sales of $100,000 or more this year have been subject to NDAs.
Another major player told me privately that his group has sold $10
million worth of domains recently, including a group of 3 names
that went for $2.5 million and another group that sold for $5.9
million, with the key asset in each group being a single
great domain. It may not be time to start singing "Happy
Days Are Here Again" but things are definitely looking up.
Now, getting back to the business at hand,
those two six-figure sales, totaling close to a million dollars,
obviously fill the first two spots on our latest weekly
all-extension Top 20 Sales Chart. They also helped the .coms
sweep the first 11 positions on the leader board, including #3
Yuge.com ($48,000 at DomainNameSales) and a pair of entries from Afternic
- #4 DrugPrices.com at $39,500 and #5 Keka.com
at $32,000.
The .coms piled up 16 of 20 chart entries
overall with the four remaining spots all going to non .com gTLDs
- three of those being .infos and one a .org. The .infos
on the elite list were all sold by Luc Biggs of Key-Domains.com
on the Flippa.com
platform and all produced sizeable profits for him. Biggs pocketed $18,900
for #12 Mortgage.info after paying just $4,600 for the
domain last month at NameJet. He told me he made another
$10,000 flipping #19 Homes.info for $12,230 and he
scored another big gain with #20 Vacation.info, selling for $11,650
after being picked up on NameJet for just $3,000 in early
June.
The only other non .com domain on the Big
Board was #13 (tie) CancerVaccine.org at $18,000 via EndUserMarketing.com.
The ccTLDs were uncharacteristically shut out this week with
no reported sales from that category reaching five figures.
DomainNameSales had a hand in eight
charted sales to lead all venues. Also ringing up multiple chart
entries were Sedo with four and Afternic and Flippa with three each.
Chart honors also went to Justin Godfrey's DIS
Inc. Newsletter for the $14,000 sale of #17 GulfOfMexico.com.
Now, here is how all of the
sales leaders stacked up for the week ending Sunday, July 28:

not a complete list documenting ALL high

Country Codes
While it was an excellent week
overall the ccTLDs didn't share in the bounty this time
around and that doesn't happen very often. With no
five-figure sales reported in this category that left the door
open for Lids.co to take the top spot on our latest Country Code Top 20 Sales Chart
after changing hands for $7,500 in a private
transaction.
Sedo swept the rest of the top ten (and 18 of 20
places overall) with a roster led by #2 MonVillage.eu at $5,852
and #3 Beat.la at $5,300. HomePageBaukasten.ch
at $5,187 and BabyShop.sg at $5,000 rounded
out the first five. The only other venue that broke through the
Sedo line was NetFleet.com.au
who sold #12 MIT.com.au for $2,547.
Switzerland's .ch led the extension race with four chart entries, followed by
the European Union's .eu and Montenegro's .me with three each.
The remaining 10 entries were split among 9 different TLDs. Here is how the country code leaders stacked

Non .com gTLDs (.biz, .info, .mobi, .net, .org, .asia, .pro & .tel)
It was a solid week for the non. com gTLDs
as they piled up five five-figure sales, all noted in the
all extension section above. Those, of course, fill the first
five slots on our latest Non .Com gTLD Top 20 Sales Chart.
The biggest sale in this category that you haven't seen yet is
#6 Metabolism.org at $9,800 via
DomainNameSales.
A pair of .infos followed - #7 Domains.info
at $7,150 (through Flippa.com for Luc Biggs) and #8 Sale.info
at $6,000 (by way of Sedo). Rounding out the top 10 were CaliforniaAdoption.net
($5,500 at DomainNameSales) and Deduce.org ($3,888
at Afternic).
The .infos wound up winning the extension race with
7 chart entries, followed by .org and .net with 6

As always, we welcome all verifiable sales reports from companies,
private sellers or individuals with knowledge of an important sale
made through any channel. To contribute information and help make
this column better, just drop a note to [email protected].
We truly appreciate the industry leading
companies who share their sales information
with us to help everyone in the business get a handle on current
domain values.
Every Wednesday we publish the highest reported domain name
sales for the previous week. On Mondays and Tuesdays our contributors send us
their sales data for the previous 7 days. We then compile that
information and write this article to give
you the most comprehensive sales report in the industry.
Editor's Note: If you wish to review previous Domain
Sales columns, they are available in our Archive.
