Country Codes

The ccTLDs were led by the second highest sale of the New Year in this category, Compare.to (country code for Tonga) at $23,475 through Sedo. That's just a little over $300 short of the current ccTLD Year to Date leader Aandacht.nl ("Attention" in Dutch). Compare.to and the other two five-figure country code sales you saw in the all extension section above fill the first three slots on latest weekly Country Code Top 20 Sales Chart.

The highest sale ccTLD sale you haven't seen yet is #4 Register.org.uk, a domain that SellDomains.com sold for $9,500. Sedo's $8,645 sale of #5 Betrieblichekrankenversicherung.de (talk about a mouth full!) rounded out the first five. Sedo went on to sweep 15 of the 20 chart entries.

DomainNameSales claimed a couple of the chart entries that eluded Sedo's grasp including one that landed on the top half of the leader board - #6 MTX.co.uk at $8,050. 

Germany's .de easily won the extension race with 7 chart entries. Great Britain's .uk was next with four (three .co.uks and one .org.uk). Those were the only TLDs with multiple chart entries. Here is how the country code leaders stacked up for the week ending Sunday, January 20:

There were dozens of additional four-figure ccTLD sales off the chart led by Sedo's sales of Pillows.co at $3,000, IRR.de at $2,993 and Ticket.to at $2,900. 

Sedo had 48 more four-figure ccTLD sales ranging from $1,000 to $2,897 that are listed in the table below:

NetFleet.com.au sold four Australian domains; BS.com.au ($2,787), CarLease.com.au ($2,217), SafetyInspection.com.au ($1,218) and CateringBrisbane.com.au ($1,172).

Elsewhere, SellDomains.com moved Register.st for $2,500 and Register.sh for $1,500, Afternic sold Q.cr ($2,360), ImmigrationAttorney.co.uk ($1,562) and ImmigrationForms.co.uk ($1,562) and DomainLore.co.uk collected $2,054 for PornStar.co.uk and $1,190 for Winery.co.uk.

Non .com gTLDs (.biz, .info, .mobi, .net, .org, .asia, .pro & .tel)

The non .com gTLDs were led the by the New Year's biggest sale to date in this category - FXX.net at $19,000 through DomainNameSales.com. Sedo took the next three spots on our latest weekly Non .Com Top 20 Sales Chart with EIR.org at $9,888, NordicMafia.net at $8,000 and Sofortrente.net at $5,320. 

Afternic rounded out the top five with BVL.org at $5,288 and they went on to pile up ten chart entries to lead all venues. Sedo was a step back with nine. Three-letter domains were hot commodities this week with of those landing on the leader board. 

The .nets won the extension raise, piling up 11 of the 20 chart entries. Org was next with seven and the other two openings went to .info.

Here's how all of the Non .Com gTLD leaders stacked up for the week ending Sunday, January 20:

There were several dozen more four-figure sales off the chart led by Afternic's sales of Indigena.org and NorthCounty.org at $2,088 apiece. FreeBible.org brought another $2,000.  

Afternic has 23 more non .com gTLD sales ranging from $1,000 to $1,888 that are listed in the table below: 

At Sedo eBookShop.net, IIFA.org and Startuper.org generated $1,995 each. Bachmann.org and PornAddicted.org produced $1,500 apiece and MindMaps.org added $1,044. 

Elsewhere AbdulBasit sold Amazonia.net for $2,000 and JGleeson.ie banked $1,350 for FitnessClass.net.
