Pair of $200,000 Sales Share Top Spot on This Week's Domain Sales Chart - One Ranks as 2020's Biggest Non .Com gTLD Sale to Date

We wound up with a rare tie for the top spot on our latest weekly all extension Top 20 Sales Chart this week. A 3-letter .com and the year's biggest non .com gTLD sale to date took the checkered flag in a dead heat at $200,000 apiece. Bonfire Development Inc. earned their share of the penthouse suite be selling AOA.com to a Chinese company, AOA Sports, that has been based at the considerably less compelling URL, aoavip1.com. We just learned about the deal that closed three months ago. Sedo matched the AOA.com sale with their own 200K transaction for Shop.app. That now ranks as the biggest non .com gTLD sale reported so far this year, unseating the $169,888 sale of Ready.org earlier this month.

Sedo wound up claiming three of the top five sales, also scoring with #3 Instructions.com at $62,000 and #5 Connys.com at $33,000. Sandwiched in between those two was a $40,000 sale of Sniff.com booked by Brian Harbin at GritBrokerage.com. Brian rang the bell a second time with a $28,500 sale of #6 Installed.com. Those sales helped the .coms pile up 13 of the 20 chart entries.

The ccTLDs crashed the .com party with four entries of their own on the Big Board. Sedo accounted for three of the four, including the biggest one - #12 JoyClub.cz at $9,350. The fourth one, Britain.co.uk, was sold for £6,000 ($7,440) in a deal put together by DomainLore.uk and Jag Singh at Jag.me.

That left three spots for the non .com gTLDs with a second nice .app sale joining Shop.app in that trio. That was #9 Me.app, a domain that Sedo moved for $24,000. .CLUB also made the honor roll with Name.com's $6,573 sale of #16 Winners.club.

Non .com gTLDs (.net, .org and others, including new gTLDs)

As you saw in the all extension section above, Shop.app was not only the 800-pound gorilla among the non .com gTLDs this week, it is now the group's 2020 heavyweight champion until a bigger blockbuster can unseat it. That $200,000 sale joined and another solid .app sale, Me.app at $24,000, to give the TLD a solid 1-2 punch at the top of this week's Non. com gTLD leader board. Sedo made both of those sales.

Afilias had a nice outing too, accounting for five of the ten sales reported in this category. #5 BI.bet led their quintet at $3,250. Here is how the non .com gTLD sales stacked up for the week ending ending Sunday, March 29, 2020:
