.Coms Sweep All 20 Positions on This Week's Domain Sales Chart - Top Spot Goes to Sedo

After producing the year's two biggest domain sales to date last week, the domain aftermarket returned to earth with a flurry of solid mid-range sales this week. The biggest of those went to Sedo who sold Cico.com for €45,000 ($49,050) to lead our latest weekly all extension Top 20 Sales Chart. Sedo went to claim nine spots overall, including #5 (tie) Giftee.com at $20,000.

Michael Mann's DomainMarket.com also had a good outing, taking four of the first 12 entries with a roster led by #2 PrivateDebt.com at $27,000. DomainMarket also shared that #5 slot with Sedo with their own $20,000 sale of OnCallHealth.com. That domain currently redirects to the buyer's site at OnCallHealth.us, so it looks like this was an upgrade purchase for them. We saw the same thing with another DomainMarket sale. The buyer of #12 NewCoastal.com is now redirecting that domain to their original site at NewCoastal.shop.

Sister companies NameJet.com and SnapNames released all of their top February sales this week and that list gave NameJet six places on the leader board with SnapNames taking another. NameJet's biggest hits were #3 HNTV.com at $21,529 and #4 UMO.com at $21,200. SnapNames scored with #14 LangLang.com at $12,600.

By now you may have noticed that only .com domains have been mentioned so far. That's because the .coms scored a rare clean sweep of all Top 20 entries this week. The highest sale among the non .com gTLDs, Cinema.net at $8,253 via SnapNames, just missed the mark with that one coming in at #21.

Speaking of unusual occurrences, the ccTLDs, who who have been tearing it up this year, had a rare off week with only nine sales reported from that category, all falling below the $6,000 mark.

Country Codes

After posting five 5-figure sales last week, the ccTLDs had an uncharacteristically slow outing this time around the track, posting none above $6,000 and only nine sales for the entire category. Sedo, who has dominated this category for the last 20 years, accounted for all nine of those. The top sale was TAF.com.ec at $5,449. That one of the very few .ec (Ecuador's country code) aftermarket sales we've seen.

Four of the nine chart entries are German .de domains, including #2 Darq.de at $4,999. No other extension has more than one. Here is how the top ccTLD sales stacked up for the week ending Sunday, March 22, 2020:
