Results.com Rings the Six-Figure Bell to Top This Week's Domain Sales Chart

One-word .com English dictionary domains continue to grow in demand with three of the four biggest sales reported to us over the past week coming from that category. Results.com led that trio with a $264,000 transaction that we learned about from the new owner, Benjamin Lode of Results.com GmbH. Lode said he closed the deal through Sedo last month with the help of Sedo Senior Broker Dave Evanson. In addition to topping our latest weekly all extension Top 20 Sales Chart, Results.com becomes the largest sale reported so far this year (when a qualifying sale is being publicly revealed for the first time it is added to our current year YTD top reported sales chart, unless the sale occurred over a full year ago. In that case the sale is added to the appropriate year's Top 100 Chart in our Domain Sales Archive).

Phenom.com's $80,000 sale of Thyme.com took the #2 spot this week, and James Booth's company also accounted for the $58,000 sale of #4 Renovate.com. Sandwiched in between those two was Uniregistry's $68,750 sale of #3 PayStubs.com. Those sales helped the .coms sweep 15 of the 20 chart entries.

The ccTLDs claimed three positions on the elite list, led by Sedo's $25,0000 sale of 265.cc (the highest .cc sale we have seen in a very long time). The country code category also got an assist from Joe Taheny's $12,000 sale of #12 Edit.in via DAN.com. Uniregistry posted the third ccTLD sale, booking $8,325 for Vuelos.cl ("flights" in Spanish) - .cl is the country code TLD for Chile.

The non .com gTLDs filled the remaining two slots with two more Sedo sales - #14 (tie) Asia.casino and #17 CKB.org at $9,800. Sedo went on to pile up 11 chart entries overall.

Keep in mind that these are the highest value cash only sales that have been reported to us in the past week. This column is meant to be an educational tool, not a complete list documenting ALL high value domain sales. Such a list is impossible to produce because many sales are kept private at the insistence of buyers, sellers or both. DAN.com also rang the five-figure bell with their $12,000 sale of #2 Edit.in. The highest sale in the category that you haven't seen yet is #4 on our latest weekly Country Code Top 20 Sales Chart. That is Sedo's $7,826 sale of Course.de. They also moved Limobier.de for $7,215 to round out the first five.

Sedo, who has traditionally dominated this category, went on to sweep 17 of the 20 chart entries. DomainLore.uk filled two of the three slots that didn't go to Sedo, claiming #8 OnlineBettingSites.co.uk at $4,650 and #12 Ed.co.uk at $3,185.
