In a Diverse Week for Domain Sales a Dozen .Coms, Six ccTLDs and a Pair of Non .Com gTLDs Earned Chart Entries

We've seen a lot of high end domain sales in recent weeks so it was probably time for the market to take a bit of a breather this week. The more modest price range we saw this time around the track left the door to our all extension Top 20 Sales Chart open for a wider variety of extensions than we usually see.

The .coms still got the lion's share they are accustomed to with 12 chart entries, including the top three, but the ccTLDs shined as well with half a dozen representatives on the Big Board, including two that reached the top five. The non .com gTLDs also got into the act with a pair of charted sales including one that ranks among the year's 20 biggest in that category.

Whatever the extension was, the likely seller was Sedo who swept 17 of the 20 chart entries. They topped the elite list with GreenCarpet.com at $36,630 and also had the biggest country code sale with #4 Whatever.co.uk at $20,000. Another ccTLD sale, Buy.tv at $17,500 in a private transaction, rounded out the first five. DomainLore.uk also helped the country code cause with their $8,500 sale of #15 (tie) Film.uk.

The non .com gTLDs made their presence known by putting new gTLD Human.capital in the #6 spot at $15,500 via Sedo (that also ranks as the #16 non .com gTLD sale of the year to date). The group's other entry on this week's honor roll is the .GLOBAL Registry's $8,000 sale of #18 Panda.global.

Here's a look at how all of the sales leaders stacked for the week ending Sunday, July 21, 2019:

Country Codes

It was a busy week for the ccTLDs. In addition to the six five-figure sales you saw on the all extension leader board above - led by Whatever.co.uk at $20,000 - more than three dozen additional sales were reported in this category. The highest sale in this group that you haven't seen yet is #7 on our latest weekly Country Code Top 20 Sales Chart. That is DomainLore.co.uk's $6,555 sale of CommercialProperty.co.uk

Sedo rounded out the rest of the top ten with a trio led by #8 CW.co.uk at $6,375 and wound up having a hand in 13 of the 21 charted sales (the extra spot resulted from a tie for the final position). DomainLore.uk also had a big week with six chart entries.

Great Britain scored an easy win in the extension race, taking eight chart entries - six of the .uk flavor and two of the .co.uk variety. Here is how the top ccTLD sales stacked up for the week ending Sunday, July 21, 2019:

Non .com gTLDs (.net, .org and others, including new gTLDs)

Things remained fairly quiet on the Non .com gTLD front with only nine sales reported from this category. However one of those was that very respectable $15,500 sale of Human.capital at Sedo that you saw on the all extension leader board above.

Nearly half of the reported sales went to .CLUB who had a quartet of charted sales led by Fortuna.club and Glam.club at $2,000 each with both sold at GoDaddy.
