2-Letter .Com Commands Over a Half Million Dollars to Top This Week's Domain Sales Chart - Two Others Reach 6 Figures

...and the hits just keep on coming! Three more six-figure sales were rung up this week with one of those coming in at $510,000 in the 4th largest sale reported so far this year. That was the price paid for a rare two-letter .com, FO.com, in a deal handled by James Booth's BQDN.com. Booth put a second name on the Big Board by adding a $17,500 sale of #12 0240.com. As has been the case with so many top tier domains, FO.com is now in the hands of a Chinese owner who has a blockchain related site on the domain now.

Also breeching the 6-figure barrier were #2 Jumprope.com at $200,000 in a deal brokered by industry veteran Jakob Knightly and #3 WJX.com at $150,000 in a private transaction. Both of those rank among 2018's 15 biggest sales to date.

Crypto domains have been in the news a lot lately (including this article about Crypto.com in our Lowdown section Tuesday) and yet another name from that hot category landed near the top of our latest weekly all extension Top 20 Sales Chart. That was #4 CryptoGame.com, a domain that RapidNames.com sold through Afternic for $85,000.

Sedo filled the next two spots with Garbuio.com at $55,800 and yet another 3-letter .com sale, #6 KUL.com at $43,400. They went on to sweep 13 of the 20 chart entries.

.Coms had an even more dominating week than usual, claiming every position on the elite list except two spots that went to ccTLDs. Those were the $30,000 sale of #7 Hyphen.co handled by GritBrokerage.com and Sedo's $14,756 sale of Spind.de. GritBrokerage also helped the .com cause with their sale of #20 Metcon.com at $11,550. That left no room at the inn for the non .com gTLDs.
