Week 2 of the 2018 Domain Sales Season is Another Winner: Top 3 Sales Total Over $500,000

After getting off to a good start in the opening week of 2018 (led by a  $220,000 sale) the domain aftermarket's week 2 was even better  - upping the ante with a trio of 6-figure sales that totaled $512,388. Supernatural.com set the pace at $215,888 in a deal completed by the Above.com Brokerage that was just revealed this afternoon.

Close behind was the $195,000 sale of CryptoWorld.com by Michael Mann (from DomainMarket.com) in a deal closed through Sedo. Mann told us he originally acquired that domain in 2011 for just $15! Completing the 6-figure trifecta was the $101,500 sale of a ccTLD, Music.ai, by Undeveloped.com. The latter sale was from a list of previously unreported sales from recent months that Undeveloped provided us with this week. Their roster also included #4 BitForex.com at $65,000

Michael Mann scored again with #5 (tie) Cobwebs.com at $35,000 through his own sales platform. That sale helped the .coms pile up 13 of the 20 entries on or latest all extension Top 20 Sales Chart. The .coms also got a boost from four other charted Sedo sales including #5 (tie) HappyMath.com at $35,000 and #8 Chosen.com at $34,000, as well as Davinderpal S. Bhatia's $25,000 sale of #10 (tie) DNACode.com via Afternic.

The ccTLDs also had a very strong week with six sales on the Big Board. In addition to that big deal for Music.ai, Undeveloped put four more country code domains on the elite list, including #12 Bit.eu at $24,278. MagnumDomains also aided the ccTLD cause with their $18,888 sale of VEE.co.

The non .com gTLDs were limited to one spot on the leader board that Undeveloped filled with their $15,750 sale of #19 CryptoWallet.net.

Such a list is impossible to produce because many sales are kept private at the insistence of buyers, sellers or both. Country Codes

The ccTLDs had a killer week thanks to that raft of previously unreported sales from Undeveloped.com. Music.ai led the way of course with eight others reaching five figures. You saw all of those in the all extension section above so the biggest sale in this category that you haven't seen yet is the #10 domain on our latest weekly Country Code Top 20 Sales Chart. That was Astrum.eu, a domain that Undeveloped sold for $9,149.

Undeveloped swept 15 of the 20 chart entries including eight of the next ten with a roster beefed up by #11 Create.eu at $8,540 and five others that tied for #12 at $6,100 apiece.

The European Union's .eu easily won the extension race with nine chart entries. The Netherlands' .nl and Colombia's .co were next with three each. Here is how the top ccTLD sales stacked up for the week ending Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018:
