Pair of 6-Figure Sales - Including One of the Year's 5 Biggest - Top This Week's Domain Sales Chart

Quick.com took a place among the five biggest sales reported so far in 2016 this week when Heritage Auctions closed a $299,000 sale of that domain. Quick.com was the highest sale in HA's live domain auction held April 19th in San Francisco. The runner-up spot on our latest weekly all extension Top 20 Sales Chart went to another solid six-figure sale. That was Strawberry.com, a domain that an investor picked up for $160,000.

The next three spots on the leader board all went to always in demand 3-letter .coms. Sedo moved #3 LVN.com for $56,000 while Erwan Kina booked the other two - selling #4 LFN.com for $49,000 and #5 AZT.com for $31,500.

SnapNames made it six in a row for the .coms with #6 Icom.com at $27,555 before the ccTLDs finally snapped the streak with Sedo's $26,100 sale of #7 ITJobs.in. Still, the .coms went on to pile up 17 of the 22 chart entries (the extra spots resulted from a three-way tie for the final position).

The country code domains took all five of the remaining spots including another top ten entry with #10 (tie) Slots.gr at $11,200 via Sedo. That left the non .com gTLDs out in the cold with no reported sales in that category reaching over $5,000.

Sedo wound up leading all venues with 12 charted sales. Flippa.com also had a solid outing that gave them five places on the Big Board, including top ten sales QTO.com at $23,508 and LeMans.com at $20,000

Non .com gTLDs (.net, .org, .biz, .info & others, including new gTLDs)

It was rough sledding for the  non .com gTLDs this week with none reaching above $5,000 and a total of only 12 sales reported for the entire category. That cleared the way for new gTLD Tea.world to take the top spot on our latest  Non .com gTLD Top 20 Sales Chart at an even $5,000 via Sedo. They also took the next three spots with runner-up Get.net just a dollar behind at $4,999 and #3 Anthology.net only $5 off the lead at $4,995.

Flippa made a late charge to win the venue race though, taking 7 of the 12 entries with a roster led by #5 Motivational.net at $2,200. The only spot that didn't go to Flippa or Sedo was #6 602.cloud, a name that changed hands in a private transaction for $1,750.

The .nets won the TLD competition taking six chart entries. Here's how all of the Non .Com gTLD leaders stacked up for the week ending Sunday, May 15, 2016:
