4-Digit .Com Tops Latest Sales Chart in a Sleepy Week for the Domain Aftermarket

After firing on all cylinders most of this year the domain aftermarket was probably due for a breather and it got one this week with overall sales numbers the lowest we've seen so far this year. Only six reported sales reached five figures and the highest of those hit just $15,500. That was enough to give Sedo's sale of 0702.com the top spot on our latest weekly all extension Top 20 Sales Chart

With no one mounting a serious challenge Sedo went on to sweep 15 of the 20 chart entries including the first 14 in a row! A quartet of .coms set the pace for them including #2 SkinWellness.com ($15,000), #3 SignalTek.com ($12,500) and #4 FlightClaim.com ($12,400).

Sedo rounded out the first five with one of the three ccTLDs that made the Big Board - Lola.co at $10,000. Four non .com gTLDs also landed on the elite list led by #7 Non.org at $9,888. Two from that category were new gTLDs - #15 Panorama.nyc at $7,000 via Redefineweb.com and #18 Game.guru at $6,800 through Chad Wright's Webquest Inc

By Ron Jackson

The highest sale not posted by Sedo was #15 Fantasize.com, a name that broker Sharjil Saleem sold to Mike Mann for $7,000. A couple of other venues that broke through were DomainLore.co.uk with #19 LM.uk at $6,123 and SnapNames.com with #20 633888.com at $6,050.
