For the Second Week in a Row a Six-Figure New gTLD Takes the Top Spot on the Domain Sales Chart

New gTLDs are starting to make some noise in the domain aftermarket. It is still very early in the game but for the second week in a row a new top level domain has taken the top spot on our all extension Top 20 Sales Chart. Just a week after Wine.club topped the elite list at $140,000, Autism.rocks climbed to the summit with a $100,000 sale at Sedo that is the 4th highest non .com gTLD sale reported so far this year.

The Autism.rocks buyer was Dubai's Sanjay Shah, the man who started the well-known Autism Rocks charity. As DomainNameWire reported yesterday, the seller is associated with another autism organization. A second new gTLD reached the top half of the leader board. That was #9 (tie) Star.casino, a domain that Sedo sold for $11,200

Though the new gTLDs have made some impressive inroads in recent weeks, the .coms still dominate the playing field. They swept 15 of the 20 chart entries this week with four more Sedo sales rounding out the first five. That quartet was led by an IDN in #2 免税店.com at $32,888. #3 Douga.com was next at $$28,500, followed by #4 XFlag.com at $22,000 and #5 WIY.com at $16,800.

By Ron Jackson

Sedo accounted for all but three of the charted sales. The exceptions were #7 FireAccount.com (sold by Maciej Lipowiecki through DomainAgents.com for $15,000), #11 PerkTV.com (sold by Grit Brokerage for $11,000) and #19 (tie) PioneerRealEstate.com (sold by GenericDomainMarket.com for $7,000).

Sedo's haul included both of the ccTLDs that crashed the Big Board - #16 (tie) AutoDoc.co.uk ($8,835) and #19 (tie) BlueDot.us ($7,000). They also rang up a third non .com gTLD sale with #8 Med.info at $13,440 joining those two big new gTLDs on the chart.

Here is how all of the sales leaders stacked up for the week ending Sunday, June 21:

Non .com gTLDs (.net, .org, .biz, .info & others, including new gTLDs)

No doubt about the headliner for the Non .Com gTLDs. It was that blockbuster $100,000 sale of Autism.rocks at Sedo. You saw that name and a pair of five-figure sales from this category on the all extension leader board above so the highest sale from this group that you haven't seen yet is #4 on our latest weekly Non .com gTLD Top 20 Chart. That is HOU.net at $4,267 via Sedo. They then rounded out the first five with Lees.net at $3,500.

Sedo went on to sweep 17 of the 20 chart entries. One of the exceptions made the top ten with #9 Mallorca.travel changing hands for $2,866 in a private transaction. Isaac Paton brought that sale to our attention as well as another one in which #17 Allicante.travel sold for $1,691. URLs.net claimed the other spot Sedo left open, banking $1,950 for #16 Authentic.org

The .nets easily won the extension race with seven chart entries. The .infos were next with three. Here's how all of the Non .Com gTLD leaders stacked up for the week ending Sunday, June 21:
