Sedo
Rings Up One of the Year's Five Biggest Sales to Top This Week's
Domain Sales Chart
Though the year is still young we've
already seen a lot of impressive domain sales, the latest coming
this week when Sedo
banked $300,000 for Heika.com. That ranks as the fifth
biggest sale reported so far in
2015. Sedo completed a nice one-two punch with another
six-figure sale, moving Anker.com for a cool $130,000.
Sedo went on to sweep the first four entries on our latest weekly all extension Top 20 Sales Chart
(and 15 of 20 places overall) including the week's biggest non
.com gTLD sale with #3 Checks.net at $24,500 (that
is also the year's 4th biggest sale in that category).
Rounding out the first five are #4 OnlineChat.com
($24,000 at Sedo) and #5 LoveCrafts.com, a name
that MostWantedDomainssold for an even $20,000.
Two other venues scored top ten
entries - in fact Fllppa.com
had a pair of them with Procrastination.com and XV.net
landing in the middle of a four-way tie for the #10 spot after changing
hands for $10,000 each. WeAreHealthy.com was also part
of that logjam after being sold by IAmPowerful.com.
The .coms piled up 16 of the 20 chart
entries, leaving two places each for the non .com gTLDs and the ccTLDs.
All four of those non .com domains landed in the top ten with Sedo
putting Ofen.de in the 7th slot at $17,100 and
Infor.nl in the next position at $11,400.

The .coms swept the last seven
chart entries including another one from Flippa in #17 Matinee.com
at $7,750. That is the second time that domain has sold
this month. It had been picked on NameJet for $6,500 a
couple of weeks ago before being flipped for a quick profit this
past week.

The ccTLDs were led by that pair
of five-figure sales you saw on the all extension chart above
with Ofen.de setting the pace at $17,100. The
biggest sales in this group that you haven't seen yet are two
names that tied for #3 on our latest weekly Country Code Top
20 Sales Chart - Paid.io and PHP.io at $6,000
apiece - both selling through Flippa.com.
Sedo swept every other chart entry - 18 of 20
places overall - including #5 SkyZone.co.uk at $4,573.
Germany's .de won a close extension
race, taking five chart entries, one better than .io, a
TLD that represents the British Indian Ocean Territory. Great
Britain's .co.uk followed with three.

Non .com gTLDs (.net, .org, .biz,
.info & others, including new gTLDs)
The non .com gTLDs matched the ccTLDs with
twofive-figure sales led by one that ranks among the year's
five biggest sales in this category - Checks.net at $24,500
via Sedo. Flippa also scored nicely with XV.net at $10,000.
Things tailed off quickly after that though with the next
highest sale on our latest Non .com gTLD Top
Sales Chart, #3 BusinessWorld.net, coming in at $2,500
at Sedo.
Rounding out the first five were #4 Monotech.net
($2,166 at Sedo) and #5 Workout.info ($1,851)
at Flippa. All told only 13 sales were reported in this group that
has been lagging the .coms and ccTLDs for a long time now, quite
likely because the pie for this group has been cut hundreds of
ways with the arrival of so many new gTLDs.
The .nets easily won the extension race with
seven chart entries. Here's how all of the Non .Com gTLD leaders
