Big
Sale of HomeCare.com and Tidal Wave of ccTLDs Flood This Week's
Domain Sales Chart
This was a very interesting week
in
the domain aftermarket. While HomeCare.com stole the show
with an impressive $350,000 sale in the NamesCon
conference's live domain auction, the ccTLDs also made waves
by piling up ten entries on our latest all extension Top
20 Sales Chart.
Michael Berkens of RightOfTheDot.com
(who staged the NamesCon auction) was the HomeCare.com seller and
that deal gave him three of the six biggest sales reported so
far in this new year. Michael (through his domain sales
company - MostWantedDomains.com)
also has 2015's biggest sale with 345.com at $800,000
(as we reported Jan. 7) as well as the 2nd biggest with HomeCare.com
and the 6th biggest with another sale he recorded this week, SuperSeats.com
at $48,888 via Sedo.

HomeCare.com and SuperSeats.com give
Michael the 1st and 4th spots on this week's sales chart, with the two biggest ccTLD
sales sandwiched in between. The .SE Registry,
continuing their sale of previously reserved Swedish domains (that
produced the $265,149 sale of TV.se last
week) filled six more chart positions this week with
names they auctioned off on EBay's Tradera.com
platform. That group was led by #2 Spanien.se
("Spain" in Swedish) at $60,000 and #3 SE.se
at $52,000. The #5 slot went
to WebShops.nl, a Dutch domain that Undeveloped.nl
sold for $39,279.
The flood of ccTLD sales continued with #7
SD.se at $24,000 but the country code sales came from more quarters than just the .SE Registry
auctions. NetFleet.com.au
sold #14 FirstChoice.com.au for $12,908, Sedo sold
both #16 Elespañol.com, an IDN at $12,000 and
#19 Autoteile.eu at $7,980 andFlippa.commoved #17 SEO.io at $11,000.
With the .coms taking 10 chart
entries and the ccTLDs the other 10, the non .com gTLDs were shut out.
They have been the weakest group for several years now but this was
an unusually slow week, even for them, with no reported sales from
that group rising above $5,000.

Keep in mind that these are the highest
value cash only sales that have been reported to us in the
past week. This column is meant to be an educational tool,
not a complete list documenting ALL high
value domain sales. Such a list is impossible to produce
because many sales are kept private at the insistence of
buyers, sellers or both. Our procedure for verifying the

Sedo led the .com supporting
cast of four-figure sales with 35888.com at $7,899

PackAndShip.com delivered $6,250. RealTrax.com
commanded $6,000, ShareYourRide.com returned $5,509
and Amstor.com kicked in $5,358.
Two others - OneLotto.com and Postserver.com
produced $5,130 each. Sedo had 47 more four-figure .com sales ranging

($2,500). Two others - AutomotiveMechanic.com and
Holeout.com - went for $2,000 apiece.
Country
Codes
As I noted above, the ccTLDs
had a monster week, nearly taking over the all extension leader
board with ten chart entries led by Spanien.se at $60,000.
With those names filling the first 10 spots on our latest Country Code Top
20 Sales Chart the biggest sale from this group that you
haven't seen yet is #11 MotorSport.cn, a Chinese domain
that Sedo sold for $5,700.
Sedo followe up with #12 NN.ro
- a rare Romanian country code sale - at $5,699 and they
went on to claim 8 chart entries overall. Tradera was next with
six (all sold by the .SE Registry) including #2 SE.se at $52,000.
Thanks to all of those Tradera sales, Sweden's
.se easily won the extension race with
six chart entries. The European Union's .eu was next with
three. Here is how the
country code leaders stacked up for the week ending Sunday,
January 25:

Non .com gTLDs (.net, .org, .biz,
.info & others, including new gTLDs)
It was a rough week for the non
.com gTLDs. Not only did they have no five-figure sales,
they had none reported over $5,000. That left the door open for
USA.wiki to take the #1 position in our latest Non .com gTLD Top
20 Chart with a $5,000 sale at Sedo. Sedo filled the next
three spots as well with SmartSource.org ($4,500), DearWorld.org
($4,400) and Krankenhaus.net ($3,999).
Flippa rounded out the first five with Helicopters.net
at $3,000 and secured the next slot as well with Bookmark.org
at $2,550. Between the two of them, Sedo and Flippa swept
the entire chart with 13 spots going to Sedo and seven to Flippa.
The .nets won the extension race with seven chart entries
nipping the .orgs who had six. Here's how all of the Non .Com gTLD leaders
stacked up for the week ending Sunday, January 25:
