MovingCompany.com
Arrives at Top Spot on This Week's Sales Chart After Selling for Six
Figures Through Moniker
MovingCompany.com did not sell whenMoniker.com
listed the domain in their Spring Auction but the name's exposure in
that event helped the company's brokerage unit find a buyer after
the auction and close a big $195,000 sale that is the 7th
biggest sale reported so
far this year. That sales also easily tops our latest
weekly all extension Top 20 Sales Chart, more than tripling
the price paid for the next name on the elite list.
The runner-up is DomainMarket.com's
$60,000 sale of Skyboard.com. Michael
Mann's company also claimed the #4 slot with MobileWorkforce.com
at $30,000.
Sandwiched in between those two was #3 Goldfields.com
at $52,500 through DomainNameSales.com.
They went on to pile up five entries on the Big Board, including two
more in the top ten; #8 ArtificialGrass.com at $20,000
and #9 (tie) Stemz.com at $16,000.

Even so, Sedo
wound up being the venue with the most charted sales, claiming seven
places on the leader board with a roster led by the week's biggest ccTLD
sale, #5 Cruise.me at $28,500. That is one of four
country code domains on the chart, all of which sold at Sedo. They
also rang up both of the non .com gTLD sales; #14 Kfzteile.net
("auto parts" in German) at $12,700 and
#15 MyCV.net at $11,775.
The AfternicDLS
also had an outstanding week with five names on the chart including
three of the top ten. Their line up was led by #6 Sunless.com
at $24,500 and #7 YIF.com at $22,000.

Keep in mind that these are the highest
value sales that have been reported to us in the
past week. This column is meant to be an educational tool,
not a complete list documenting ALL high
value domain sales. Such a list is impossible to produce
because many sales are kept private at the insistence of
buyers, sellers or both. Our procedure for verifying the
accuracy of domain sales reports is available here.
Forthe many newcomers entering the domain
industry we also want to point out that the reasons why a domain name sells for a certain price can be varied and are not always clear to those who are unfamiliar with the domain market.
If you do not understand why specific domain names command the
prices they do, you are likely to make unwise domain registrations or purchases.
We highly recommend that you do some basic research beforeyou buyanything! As a starting point we have
built a sister site specifically for you at NameNewbie.com.
The AfternicDLS led the .com supporting cast of

five-figure sales this week involving a pair of .DE domains
and another pair of .ME names including the leader on
this week's Country Code Top 20 Sales Chart - Cruise.me
at $28,500 via Sedo.
You saw all of the five-figure sale in the all extension
section above, so the biggest sales in this category
that you haven't seen yet is #5 ID.cc at $7,575. Sedo
also made that sale while sweeping 18 of the 20 chart entries. NameJet
was one of the other two venues on the leader board, breaking
through with #8 Events.tv at $5,700 while NetFleet.com.au
scored with #13 FathersDay.com.au at $4,561.
Germany's
.de led the
TLD race with six chart entries followed closely by Montenegro's .me
with five. Great Britain's .co.uk
was the only other extension with multiple chart entries, taking
three places on the elite list.

that you are not familiar with, you can look up the nation each
extension goes with here.
Our latest Non .Com Top 20 Sales
Chart is headed by the two five-figure .net sales you saw in
the all extension section earlier - Kfzteile.net at
$12,700 and MyCV.net at $11,775, with Sedo handling
both of those. Sedo also handled the biggest sales from this
category that you haven't seen yet; #3 CoachingCorps.org at $7,500
and a pair of $5,000 domains that tied for #4 - Home24.org
and Jain.net.
The AfternicDLS also had an impressive week having a
hand in nine charted sales including five of the top ten. Their
roster was led by #6 AmericasBest.net at $4,129. With
the AfternicDLS and Sedo dominating the board only one other venue
broke through - that was YummyNames who worked with GoDaddyAuctions
to sell AtlantaPlumbing.net for $2,296.
The .nets
wound up winning the extension race, taking ten spots on the
elite list, two more than the .orgs with eight. .Info claimed
