A Two-Character .COM and One of the Year's 5 Biggest ccTLD Sales Headline This Week's Domain Sales Chart

Solid mid-range sales rule our latest weekly all extension Top 20 Sales Chart. While no reported sales reached six figures, seven of this week's sales were high enough to earn places on our Year to Date Top 100 Sales Chart. Sister companies SnapNames and NameJet dominate this week's leader board after releasing all of their April sales. Together they claimed 12 of the 20 chart entries with eight of those going to NameJet and four to SnapNames who had the chart-topper with two-character domain 9J.com at $60,400.

James Booth's BQDN.com slipped into the number #2 slot with Heir.com at $55,000 and BQDN scored again with #17 (tie) Lapse.com at $10,000

Sedo had their usual strong outing with six entries of the Big Board including #3 Centric.com at $46,000 and the week's biggest ccTLD sale in #4 ITJobs.kr (a Korean country code doman) at $37,500. That also ranks as the fifth biggest ccTLD sale reported so far in 2019.

By Ron Jackson

NameJet  rounded out the first five with GoldenState.com at $37,100. All eight of their charted sales were .coms and played a big role in the world's most popular extension sweeping 18 of the 20 chart entries. The other two spots went to country code sales made by Sedo with #15 Stühle.de (an IDN) at $11,199 joining their ITJobs.kr sale.

That left no room at the inn for the non .com gTLDs whose largest reported sale, CollegePortraits.org at $9,400, fell just short of the top 20.

Here's a look at how all of the sales leaders stacked for the week ending Sunday, May 5, 2019:

Also, BQDN.com closed another sale, bringing in $5,000 for ZOZOChampionship.com.

Country Codes

The ccTLDs were, of course, led by the two sales you saw on the all extension leader board at the top of this report, with Sedo's $37,500 sale of ITJobs.kr setting the pace. The biggest sale in this group that you haven't seen yet is #3 on our latest weekly Country Code Top Sales Chart. That is Sedo's $7,616 sale of GLA.de.

Sedo went on to sweep 17 of the 18 chart entries, rounding out the first five with Strip.de at $6,664 and Partys.de at $5,998. The only exception to the Sedo rule was the $5,000 sale of Ritual.io that Bar Franek's Page Clinic made via Undeveloped.com

Germany's .de scored an easy win in the extension race, piling up seven chart entries including four of the top five sales. No other TLD had more than two entries. Here is how the top ccTLD sales stacked up for the week ending Sunday, May 5, 2019:
