.Coms Command This Week's Domain Sales Chart Taking Top 5 Spots and 15 of 20 Overall

For the first time in this early 2018 domain sales season no sales reached six figures on our weekly all extension Top 20 Sales Chart. In fact, none went higher than $30,000 in an unusually soft week in terms of high end sales. That will be a temporary situation though as we know some big sales from the recent live domain auction at NamesCon will be closing soon.

As it was, 30K was enough to give Michael Mann's DomainMarket the #1 sale on this week's leader board with Skinte.com coming in at exactly $30,000. We don't yet know what the new owners, based in Portland, Oregon according to the WhoIs record, have planned for the domain but a Google search shows that SkinTE is a trademarked term for a skin injury treatment product, so there could be a connection there.

.Coms went on to sweep the first five entries on the Big Board and 15 of 20 places overall. Sedo filled the 2nd and 3rd slots with BitKey.com at $25,000 and Potpourri.com at $22,500. GenericDomainMarket.com scored with #4 Stayable.com at $22,499 with Sedo then rounding out the .com quintet at the top with HiChat.com at $16,800. Dan Prather also helped the .com causing by moving #7 MyBK.com for $14,000 in a private transaction made through a landing page in Prather's Efty.com marketplace.

The ccTLDs also continued to show strength this week, placing four names on the elite list led by #6 NGIN.de at $14,875 via Sedo. A second country code domain reached the top ten with eMall.ca's $12,000 sale of BitcoinCash.ca.

The non .com gTLDs were limited to just one chart entry - Sedo's $8,540 sale of #20 DrGrammar.org. Sedo wound up sweeping 16 of the 20 chart entries.
