Another Big Numeric Domain Sale from Rick Schwartz and a Pair of 3-Letter .Coms Set Pace on This Week's Chart

Some things never change - short domains attract buyers and Rick Schwartz makes big sales. As Michael Berkens reported this week, Rick did it again - banking $225,000 for 8181.com, the largest publicly reported 4-digit sale on record to date. That was one of four big recent sales from Rick, but the only one in the quartet that he was allowed to disclose the price of. Michael reported the others were 6N.com, 399.com and 6565.com, with the four totaling over $1.3 million, giving the Domain King nearly $12 million in sales so far this year. As has been the case with almost all of these high end numeric sales the 8181.com buyer was from China.

The next two spots on our latest weekly all extension Top 20 Sales Chart went to two domains from another highly popular category - 3-letter.coms. #2 FZD.com changed hands for $65,000 in a private transaction and Sedo moved #3 ICT.com for $40,280

Rounding out the first five were Concurrent.com at $35,000 (a sale uncovered in an SEC filling by the master of that art - George Kirikos) and Sedo's sale of Kuzu.com at $32,000. Kuzu.com helped the 4-characters or less team pile up 10 of the 20 chart entries.

By Ron Jackson

On the opposing sideline the five or more characters contingent also took ten spots, helped by Flippa.com's $30,000 sale of #6 Mineral.com and the $24,888 sale of FindMyMoney.com by Michael Berkens's company, MostWantedDomains.com

.Coms swept the top seven positions and 13 places over all. The ccTLDs took three spots, led by Sedo's $21,200 sale of #8 Your.tv. Sedo also sold #16 SeaTours.de at $10,367 with Park.io's $10,999 sale of #12 Profit.io sandwiched in between.

The non .com gTLDs claimed four places on the Big Board led by #9 Dash.org, purchased by crypto-currency company Dash, for $20,000. Scrip.net also landed on the top half of the leader board with a $14,709 sale at Sedo.  The other two representatives from this category were numeric .top domains, #11 789.top ($12,223 at Benmi.com) and #13 111.top ($10,795 at eName.com).
