Rick Schwartz Does it Again - Sells 3-Digit .Com for Over 800K Giving Him the Week's Top Sale and Two of the Year's Top Three

For a guy who has gone into retirement Domain King Rick Schwartz has managed to stay busy in the domain aftermarket. As our mutual friend Michael Berkens reported today at TheDomains.com, Rick has completed the $801,000 sale of 899.com to a Chinese buyer. In addition to giving Schwartz the top spot on this week's all extension Top 20 Sales Chart, it gives Rick two of three biggest sales reported so far this year - including 2015's top sale (by far) in Porno.com, a name he sold in February for $8,888,888

Three-digit (and three-letter) .com domains have been red hot this year. Three of 2015's ten biggest sales have been 3-digit .coms, a category that is highly desired by affluent Chinese buyers who have accounted for many of the year's top tier purchases.

The next two spots on this week's chart were filled by two DomainHoldings brokers who also happen to be brothers. Director of Business Development Hobi Michalec sold #2 Clink.com for $50,000 and Slade Michalec, who recently joined the company, moved #3 (tie) LoveSeat.com for $25,000.

By Ron Jackson

The week's biggest ccTLD sale, Wine.co, earned a share of that #3 slot with a $25,000 sale at Sedo. Filppa.com rounded out the first five with a 3-letter .com, CUZ.com, at $22,000

Sedo went on to pile up 11 of the 20 chart entries including another big ccTLD sale in #6 Design.co at $20,340 as well as the week's biggest non .com gTLD sale with #9 BB.org at $17,515. The ccTLDs wound up taking five places on the Big Board including two claimed by Canadian domains sold by Ilze Kaulins-Plaskacz at ExcellentDomains.ca. She picked up $7,508 for #16 RBI.ca and $7,441 for #18 CNL.ca. The non .com gTLDs were limited to two spots with #19 ONU.net providing their second entry with a $7,312 sale at Sedo.

The .coms vacuumed up everything else - taking 13 of 20 places overall.  The .com charge was helped by RajDomains.com's $18,000 sale of 93000.com and SnapNames.com's $16,010 sale of #10 F18.com.
