Editor's Note: I am away on vacation this week so won't be doing a sale sales column Wednesday (Sept. 2). Instead, I will bring you completely up to date on all sales reported since the last column (below) in a double length report that will be published next week (on Wednesday evening, September 9).

Hot Summer Domain Sales Pace Slowed a Bit This Week Though Non .Coms Continued to Make Their Presence Known

The past week  was a relatively slow one for a domain aftermarket that has been enjoying a hot summer. Only nine reported sales reached five figures and none broke the six-figure barrier. That left the door open for non .com domains to enjoy another solid week. After taking 12 of 20 entries last week they filled nine more slots on this week's all extension Top 20 Sales Chart. Five of those went to ccTLDs and four to non .com gTLDs. Specifics on those in a moment.

The .coms still had the majority of sales with 11, including three of the top five. Flippa's sale of HTML5.com set the pace at $50,209. A pair of new gTLD .top domains filled the next two spots on the elite list as two-digit .tops continued to appeal to Chinese buyers. 28.top and 98.top went for $23,250 each in sales handled by registrar Jiangsu Bangning. A pair of Sedo sales rounded out the first five with H123.com attracting $21,500 and JWI.com adding $20,000

The week's two biggest country code sales filled the 6 and 7 slots with Sedo selling Nachbarschaft.de for $14,605 and Golem.eu moving EBF.eu for $14,145

By Ron Jackson

Sedo led all venues with 11 chart entries. Flippa also had a solid outing with five. Chart honors also went to Synergy.media for their sale of another new gTLD - #18 Finance.directory - at $6,500.

Here is how the sales leaders stacked up for the week ending Sunday, August 23, 2015:

This column is meant to be an educational tool, not a complete list documenting ALL high value domain sales. Such a list is impossible to produce because many sales are kept private at the insistence of buyers, sellers or both.
