Four 6-Figure Transactions Totaling Over $1.1 Million Top This Week's Domain Sales Chart

Someone mist have missed the "summer doldrums" memo! Four high end sales lit up the domain aftermarket this week with three of those not only topping our latest weekly all-extension Top 20 Sales Chart, but also crashing the top 20 sales for the entire Year to Date.

That power trio at the top featured three band mates that each sold for more than $300,000! PY.com led the charge at $358,000 as that sale from the second Heritage Auctions (HA) event in March was finally closed (Heritage allows winning bidders up to four months to pay). Another big IP auction house, Hilco Streambank, locked down the #2 spot with Dots.com at $320,000. Heritage came right back with another blockbuster, closing #3 HY.com for $320,000. 

In a side note, HY.com was sold by Aron Meystedt, who, as many of you know, is the Founder and Director of HA's Domain Name & Intellectual Property Division. Aron's faith in the system he played a key role in building was rewarded with that handsome sale.

In yet another solid six-figure sale, Braden Pollock of LegalBrandMarketing.com sold #4 Statement.com for a cool $140,000. 

Sedo rounded out the first five with a name that came close to eclipsing the six-figure mark - GCA.com at $90,000. That is one of four 3-letter .coms on this week's leader board. MediaOptions sold #8 OAR.com on the Flippa.com platform for $28,500, Sedo moved #9 PDN.com for $27,900 and NameConnect.com used Flippa to sell #12 AZU.com at $18,000. Those sales, combined with that pair of two-letter .com blockbusters, again proved that short acronyms never go out of style.

The .coms wound up sweeping 15 of the 20 chart entries with DomainMarket.com helping the cause through their $40,000 sale of #7 MakeSomeNoise.com. 

The ccTLDs carved out three spots on the elite list with Sedo ringing up all of those. Their country code trio was led by #10 Open.tv at $25,000. 

That left two spots on the Big Board for the non .com gTLDs. Flippa posted the highest one with #14 Mortgages.info at $14,095. The second went to Sedo who sold #19 Matrix.org for $7,999 as they went on to pile up 12 of the 20 chart entries.

All in all, a very impressive week, especially when you consider that giant sales venue Go Daddy/Afternic, is still unable to report sales due to SEC quiet period rules surrounding Go Daddy's current IPO.

.Com Supporting Cast

Sedo led the .com supporting cast of four-figure .com sales with SocialCon.com at $7,000. ClipsOnDemand.com added $6,988, Dimension4.com fetched $6,749 and Baitna.com brought $5,800.

Sudameris.com commanded $5,666 while InClass.com and LocalVibe.com landed $5,500 each. ITLWorld.com went for $5,063 and three others - Seocial.com, TacoVilla.com and UMBF.com - clicked for $5,000 apiece.

Country Codes

The $25,000 sale of Open.tv and the pair German .de sales that you saw on the all extension chart above set the pace for the ccTLDs this week. The highest sale in this category that you haven't seen yet is #4 on our latest weekly Country Code Top 20 Sales Chart. That is an Australian domain, TemporaryFencing.com.au, that was sold at NetFleet.com.au for $7,026. 

A Brazilian domain, Weblink.com.br at $7,000 rounded out the first five. Sedo made that sale and went on to sweep nine of the top ten and 15 of 20 chart entries overall. NetFleet.com.au and Golem.eu each placed two names on the board - with #12 Charge.ch at $3,000 giving Golem their best entry. Domains90210.com also earned chart honors with #17 Chili.tv at $2,588.

There were more four-figure ccTLD sales off the chart led by Sedo's sales of FitnessWorld.de and Investor-News.de at $2,025 each. They chalked up another $1,998 with Ross.ch at $1,998. 

Sedo had 18 more four-figure ccTLD sales ranging from $1,000 to $1,823 that are listed in the table below:

Domains90120.com used the Go Daddy Auctions platform to sell Legend.tv for $1,999. Meanwhile. Golem.eu banked $1,875 for Pareto.eu and $1,110 for CSquare.eu.

Back at NetFleet.com.au, FRA.com.au yielded $1,576. Elsewhere, XX.ee brought $1,550 at Flippa where WPThemes.in added $1,100. Heritage Auctions also got into the ccTLD game, booking $1,500 for Summer.co.

Non .com gTLDs (.net, .org, .biz, .info & others, including new gTLDs)

The non .com gTLDs were led by their lone five-figure sale - Mortgages.info at $14,095. That sale at Flippa, as well as the $7,999 sale of #2 Matrix org at Sedo, both made the all extension leader board at the top of this report. The highest sale from this group that you haven't seen yet is #3 on our new weekly Non .Com gTLD Top 20 Chart - that is BetAmerica.net, a name that Sedo sold for $5,750.  

Two more Sedo sales rounded out the first five - #4 SisterCities.org at $4,800 and #5 Farming.org at $4,335. They went on to sweep 13 of the 17 chart entries (only 17 sales of $1,000 or more were reported in this category). The other four entries all went to Flippa. 

The .nets won the extension race with 7 chart entries, followed by the .orgs with five. .Info and .biz picked up two apiece, leaving one spot for .club. Here's how all of the Non .Com gTLD leaders stacked up for the week ending Sunday, July 20:
