Our first
bi-weekly domain sales chart of the 2024 sales
season is here and it looks like buyers made a quick return to
the marketplace after the holiday break. Our initial all
extension Top 20 Sales Chart is topped by a trio of
solid six-figure sales including a $400,000 chart
topper, Peace.com, via Sedo.
James Booth at DomainBooth.com
provided an impressive follow-up, ringing the six-figure bell twice
with a pair of single digit .io domains - 7.io
at $150,000 and 0.io at $125,000.
Sedo
and DomainBooth wound up having the entire first five all to
themselves with Sedo adding $74,995 for 13Bet.com
and Booth banking $70,000 for Deflect.com. Their
hold on the leader board continued with Sedo going on to sweep
13 of 20 entries overall and
|
|
DomainBooth
bagging five places. GoDaddy and Afternic
finally broke up the two-horse race by taking one spot apiece.
Sedo's haul included a $25,000 sale of #12 Brigade.com
that the company's newest Premium Domain Broker, Mark
Ghoriafi (AKA Mr. Premium), handled on behalf of the
seller.
|
The .coms
started off the new year the same way way they finished the
old one - in a dominant position. They piled up 12 chart
entries overall. The ccTLDs also had a very strong
outing, claiming six spots on the elite list including those
two .io blockbusters and a $50,000 sale of #6 (tie) MBA.ai
at Sedo. James Booth also added to his already impressive
country code haul with a $22,000 sale of #13 (tie) Telehouse.ca.
The non .com gTLDs had to settle for two places on the
honor roll that came from GoDaddy's
$17,750 sale of #17 VHF.org and Afternic's
$14,999 sale of #19 TC.law. One
other note. Since this is the first chart of the year it also
serves as the Year-to-Date Top Sales Chart, so we have left
the 2023 Top 100 Sales Charts
in place on our YTD Sales Charts page. When our next sales
report comes out February 7, we will move the 2023
Charts to our Domain
Sales Archive (where the top 100 charts from all
previous years also reside) and replace them on the YTD
Charts Page with 2024's first Year to Date
Charts.

cash only sales that have been reported to us in the

a complete list documenting ALL high value domain

are kept private at the insistence of buyers, sellers or both.

Country
Codes
The ccTLDs
entered 2024 with guns blazing on the way to placing a
half dozen sales on the all extension Top 20 Chart you saw
above. DomainBooth's two six-figure .io sales rode
highest in the saddle on their way to the top spots on our latest Country
Code Top 20 Sales Chart.
The biggest sales in
this category that you haven't seen yet came from Sedo
where #7 BDUpload.in sold for $9,810 and #8 GJ.co.uk
attracted $9,415. In that latter sale, Sedo's
Mark Ghoriati served as the buyer's broker this time and
successfully landed the domain for his client.
Sedo, always dominant
in the ccTLD category, went on to sweep 16 of the 20 chart
entries. The only exceptions came from James Booth's
stellar performance (taking three of the top five ccTLD sales)
and DomainLore.uk's
claim to the final position with their $4,191 sale of SevenOaks.co.uk.
.IO won a tight
TLD race with five chart entries followed by Germany's .de
and France's .fr with three each. Here is how the ccTLDs stacked up for the
two weeks ending Sunday, January 21, 2024:

Non .com gTLDs
The Non .com
gTLDs were led by a trio of five-figure sales, two of
which made the all extension leader board you saw above. GoDaddy's
$17,750 sale of VHF.org set the pace, followed by TC.law
($14,999 via Afternic) and Pay.express
($10,900 at Sedo). The first five on our latest
bi-weekly Non .com TLD Top 20 Sales Chart was rounded out
by Afternic's $8,000 sale of QR.law and Namecheap's
$6,500 sale of Institute.art.
.Org scored an
easy win in the TLD race by piling up seven chart entries.
.Net and .law were next with three spots each. Here is how all of the non
.com gTLD leaders stacked up for the two weeks ending Sunday, January
