The 2023 domain
sales season is now in the books. With most offices closed
over the holidays, we just got the results from the closing
weeks of the year in this week. In addition to filling in our
usual bi-weekly Top 20 Sales Charts the numbers allowed us to finalize
our
2023 Top 100 Sales Charts that rank the year's
biggest publicly reported domain sales (Above.com's
$3 million sale of Help.com topped the annual
chart).
Braden Pollock
of LegalBrandMarketing.com,
who already had five sales on the 2023 Top 100, made it six
with a year ending $200,000 sale of EZE.com via Sedo.com
that headlines the year's last all extension Top 20 Sales
Chart. Braden put a second name on the latest leader board
with a $25,000 sale of #8 Vertex.net.

The .coms
swept six of the top seven sales (and 16 of 20 overall) with a
roster that included a nice pair of $80,000 sales at Sedo
that tied for the #2 position. Those were Culinary.com
and Grades.com. Sedo went on to pile up 13 chart
entries overall. Greg Everett (Philanthropist.com)
added power to the .com punch with his $50,000 sale of
#4 EZBank.com via Afternic.
Sister sites NameJet
and SnapNames
also helped run up the score for the .coms with five charted
sales between them.

The non .com gTLDs also
closed the year on a high note with two sales on the top half
of the honor roll and three entries overall. They were led by
Sedo's $29,888 sale of #7 Ten.xyz and that
$25,000 sale of #8 Vertex.net I noted above. Another Sedo
sale, #12 BINSearch.info at $16,350 rounded out
the non .com gTLD power trio. The ccTLDs
had multiple entries on almost all of our all extension Top 20
Charts this year but were limited to just one in the
final lap around the 2023 track. That was Sedo's $19,457 sale
of #11 EnergieAusweis,de ("energy
certificate" in German). Here is how all of the
leaders stacked up for the three weeks ending Sunday, January
7, 2024:

those including CoPlanet.com at $12,000 and Egg.me
at $10,999. Krone-Immobilien.de and Strecker.de
added $10,900 apiece with Sex.ro securing another
$10,800.
SnapNames banked $11,750
for BridgeStreet.com, $11,500 for AjemJournal.com
and $11,000 for UseMod.com. Sister site NameJet
also rang the bell again with EEVA.com at $10,150.
.Com Supporting
Cast
Sedo led the
.com supporting cast of four-figure sales with Liaoshen.com
at $9,999 and RoomBase.com at $9,900. MWCH.com
made another $9,000 followed by BabyCatCoin.com
at $8,900 and NFIT.com at $8,888.
The hit parade continued
with Beautyfish.com ($8,800), MySofaBed.com
($8,720) and BestPlace2Play.com ($8,544). All-on-4.com
added $8,175, Jagalchi.com kicked in $8,000
and two others - Slot.it.com and Win.it.com
- commanded $7,990 each.
EliteImports.com
landed $7,823, GreenSail.com soaked up $7,500
and DroneServices.com drew $7,480. Sedo had 58
more
four-figure .com sales ranging from $2,000 to $6,977 that
