Country Codes

The ccTLDs had their usual solid outing, racking up a half dozen five-figure sales this time around the track, with Sedo's $35,000 sale of Mill.co leading the charge, followed by Radius.ai at $21,500 on our latest Country Code Top 20 Sales Chart. Sedo not only made both of those sales, they accounted for all of the six-figure sales and all but one of the 21 chart entries (the extra spot resulted from a tie for the final position)! I've often noted their dominance of the country code aftermarket space and outings like show just how overpowering it is.

The only exception to the Sedo rule this week was Daaz.com's £6,000 ($8,040) sale of #10 Bark.in.

Germany's .de scored yet another win in the TLD race with six chart entries, doubling the number posted by the nearest competitor, .co. Even so, it was a very diverse week with 11 different TLDs represented on the honor roll. Here is how the top ccTLD sales stacked up for the two weeks ending Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021:

Non .com gTLDs (.net, .org and others, including new gTLDs)

The Non .Com gTLDs have waited a long time to see a blowout week like this with 11 five-figure sales reported and a $69,888 head turner at the top on our latest Non .com gTLD Top 20 Sales Chart in DNGear's sale of Quest.xyz

The eye-popping flood of sales was driven by two primary factors - the release of DNGear's biggest recent sales by Founder Swetha Yenugula and a long list of the .ART registry's top premium sales from this year that I was able to get after connecting with registry executive Alexei Popov at NamesCon Online last week. Eight of Swetha's .xyz sales earned spots in the Top 20 and seven crashed the top 10. .ART had even more entries overall with 11, led by #10 JPG.art at $10,764. There were two more chart positions than usual due to a 7-way tie for the final position - all .ART domains at $7,800 each.

Here is is how the non .com gTLD sales stacked up for the two weeks ending ending Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021:
