A Pair of 7-Figure Sales and Three in 6 Figures Helped Light Up the Holiday Season for Domain Investors

Following a brief slowdown due to America's four-day Thanksgiving weekend falling in our previous reporting period, the domain aftermarket quickly shifted back into high gear when everyone returned to work. Our latest bi-weekly all extension Top 20 Sales Chart is led by two of the 10 biggest publicly reported sales of the year to date - both in 7 figures. A trio of six-figure sales added more muscle to the line up.

Before we get to that - we do have another dip immediately ahead of us - one that just about all of us welcome with open arms every year! It is Christmas Eve as I write this and offices around the world have already closed for a holiday break that will

extend well into the first week of the new year for many. The domain industry has a lot to celebrate after another strong year. We hope yours was as rewarding as you hoped for and that 2026 will be the best ever for you and yours.

The sales at the top of our latest chart are the kind we hope to see many more of in the new year. The headliner was the widely reported $2 million sale of Anything.com in a private transaction. The acquisition gave a popular AI platform called Anything the ultimate upgrade from their previous home at CreateAnything.com. In another 7-figure sale that we reported in our Lowdown section, Skins.com was sold for $1,459,450 in a deal brokered by QEIP.com. Those two sales now rank #4 and #6 on our 2025 YTD Top 100 Sales Chart (a list that will be finalized when the year's last round of sales comes in for our next report).

A trio of solid six-figure sales rounded out the first five with #3 SERP.com changing hands for $210,000 through Afternic, #4 Leo.ai selling for $150,000 at Atom.com and #5 Wonderly.com allowing Afternic to take another bow at $100,000. The .coms went on to claim 11 of the 20 chart entries including the #7 slot, taken by Govt.com at $60,000 in a private sale. The interesting thing about that one is that it had previously been purchased on Sedo for just $3,000 last April! Those are the kinds of flips that keep savvy investors continually  fishing in the domain aftermarket river.

The ccTLDs had a good outing too with seven charted sales. Leo.ai was the obvious leader but a nice two-letter British domain sale, PR.co.uk at $45,900 through DomainLore.uk, also landed on the top half o the elite list at #9. That left just two spots for non .com gTLDs but those were both impressive sales. Veteran investor Logan Flatt banked $80,000 for #6 Lonestar.bet (Logan himself is a resident of the Lone State state, Texas). Sedo also rang the bell for this group with an $18,888 sale of #13 Bitcoin.talk.
