There are a couple
of clear story lines on our latest bi-weekly all extension Top 20 Sales Chart.
One being that, with a trio of six-figure sales at the
top, high end sales are still getting done even though we are
entering summer - a season when sales activity often softens.
The other is the continuing strength of .AI sales as
they continue to benefit from the explosion of
artificial intelligence start ups.
.AI
domains swept seven spots on the latest leader board including
the #1 position with Namecheap's
report of a $120,000 sale of Fantasy.ai. Three
others reached the top half of the honor roll - #5 Hollywood.ai
at
|
|
$65,000,
#8 Meld.ai at $47,500 and #10 Inventive.ai
at $44,900, .AI helped ccTLDs claim ten spots
overall, two more than the .coms. The other country
code names that crashed the Big Board were a pair of strong .de
sales at Sedo
and a $52,000 sale of #7 Fire.co made by Efty.com
Founder Doron Vermaat.
|
That left just two
spots for the non .com gTLDs but one of those was the
third highest sale reported year
to date in that category, #2 (tie) Open.network
at $100,000. As DomainInvesting.com
reported, the original registrant of that domain, James
Jean, made the sale on the Efty platform after holding the
name for 10 years. The other big win from this group came from
Sedo's $20,000 sale of #17 NYA.net.
Sedo also posted the
highest reported .com sale with #2 (tie) RKX.com at $100,000.
Shane Cultra also helped the .com cause with a $45,888
sale of #9 YourLogoHere.com via Atom.com.
Multimedia Manager chipped in too with an $18,988 sale
of #18 CobraKing.com made through Afternic.

Country
Codes
The ccTLDs had an outstanding
couple of weeks since our last report, piling up a six-figure
sale and more than a dozen in five figures, all of which were
noted in the all extension section above. Of course, .AI has
been the primary driver in that surge that included the biggest sale
reported in any category, Fantasy.ai at $120,000 - a
name that is an obviously great match for an artificial intelligence
enterprise.
Since you have already seen
the 14 highest sales in this group (due to their uniformly high
prices) the country code group hasn't left us much more to talk about!
The highest sale you haven't seen yet, the #15 domain on our latest Country Code Top 20 Sales Chart,
is a .ly hack - TicketF.ly at $8,025 via
Sedo who claimed 10 of the 20 chart entries. WeBroker.vc
made the honor roll with an $8,000 sale of #16 Carat.vc,
as is did DomainLore.uk
with a $7,296 sale of #18 HelpToBuy.org.uk.

Non .com gTLDs
No doubt about the
heavyweight champ in this division this time out. That $100,000
sale of Open.network we told you about above easily leads our latest Non .Com Top Sales
Chart and ranks among the year's three highest reported sales in this category
to date. The top sales in this group that you haven't seen yet are
NameJet's $9,188 sale of #4 JAC.org and a $3,300
sale of #5 Texas.fund at DNTop.
Otherwise, it was a fairly
quiet outing for this category with all other reported sales coming in
under $3,000. Here is how the non
.com gTLD leaders stacked up for the two weeks ending Sunday, June
