No doubt about who the
800-pound gorilla was in the ccTLD jungle since our last
report. In addition to topping our latest bi-weekly Country Code Top
20 Sales Chart, Sedo's
$101,000 sale of Auto.ae is the second biggest ccTLD sale
reported so far this
year (only Termin.de at $159,000 in April,
also a Sedo sale, has been bigger).
Four other sales from the
group easily reached five figures. DomainTheory.com
raked in $60,000 for #2 NFT.mn, #3 IT.cm
commanded $38,500 in a private transaction, #4 Highlight.io
changed hands through Garage.ist
for $25,000 and Sedo bagged another $22,200 for #5 Antelope.io.
After completing the first
five, Sedo was far from through, going on a rampage to sweep every
remaining chart entry, including one that just missed the five-figure
mark, #6 UrbanCompany.in at $9,999.
Germany's .de scored
their usual win in the extension race, piling up 10 chart
entries overall. Here is how the top
ccTLD sales stacked up for the two weeks ending Sunday, June
19, 2022:
