Country Codes
The ccTLDs
continue to rock the house. 11 five-figure sales piled onto
our latest Country Code Top 20 Sales Chart
with GoDaddy's
$66,000 sale of Bright.cn leading way. Sedo
was next with a nice French domain sale - Cartecadeau.fr ("gift
card" in French) at $58,310. Sedo went on to
pile up 12 of the 21 chart entries (the extra spot resulted
from a 3-way tie for the final position).
The most unusual
thing about the new chart is seeing so many different venues
making solid ccTLD sales. Normally, Sedo completely
dominates this chart, with just one or two other venues
represented. This time out, the sales came from eight different
places. Afternic, Domain Sushi and Brandmo
all had top 10 entries. Afternic sold #8 Task. us
for Beeker
Internet at $18,000, Domain Sushi banked $11,500
for #9 Rugged.co and Brandmo booked $10,075
for Dash.fi.
Ed Keay-Smith
at OnlineImpact.com.au
scored twice with #11 MyAds.co at $10,000 and
#19 (tie) AdMedia.com.au at $7,500.
Logan Flatt at Media
Code LLC rang up $9,988 for #13 Rush.gg
and #14 Swivel.ca changed hands for $9,500
in a private transaction.
