Management Team Biographies
Robert
Hall - Chairman
Mr.
Hall is the Chairman of Pool.com. Mr. Hall is also the CEO of
Momentous, which invests in and/or owns companies with over
US $30 million in annual revenues. Momentous companies include Zip.ca,
Namescout.com (an accredited ICANN and AUDA (.au)
registrar), Internic.ca and DomainsAtCost.ca
(accredited CIRA (.ca) registrars). Together these companies
have over 250,000 individual and corporate customers.
Mr.
Hall is a recognized industry expert and has spoken many times
before organizations such as WIPO, ICANN, the U.S. and
Canadian Governments and various International police and justice
organizations. In 1998, Mr. Hall sat on the Canadian Governments
"E-commerce and domain name taskforce". This taskforce
produced the report on domain names that was presented at the 1998
OECD meetings in Ottawa.
In
late 1998, Mr. Hall founded the Canadian Internet Registration
Authority (CIRA), the registry for the .ca domain. He was
its founding chair in 1998 until 2000 when he resigned to focus on
growing his own businesses. Prior to founding Momentous, Mr. Hall
was CEO and founder of Echelon Internet Corp. and Internet
Access Inc., an Ottawa based ISP that quickly grew to be one of
the largest in the region, capturing over 30% of the Ottawa market.
In 1996, Internet Access Inc. merged with Hookup Communications and
began trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
Mr.
Hall was one of the principal founders of the Canadian
Association of Internet Providers (CAIP), the association that
represents all ISP's in Canada, and held the position of Vice-Chair
of CAIP and sat on its Board of Directors for its first 4 years. Mr.
Hall hosted a radio show 'Surfing the Net' in 1995,
and wrote a weekly column on the Internet for the Sun Publishing
chain of newspapers for several years. Mr.
Hall attended the University of Ottawa for Computer Science.

Mr.
Arrington is the President and CEO of Pool.com. Prior to Pool.com, Mr. Arrington was the COO of RazorGator,
Inc., a $30 million ecommerce ticketing company headquartered in
Los Angeles, California and with additional offices in San
Francisco and London. Prior to RazorGator, Mr. Arrington
consulted for RealNames Corporation, an Internet naming
company that was backed by Microsoft and Verisign and
was headquartered in Redwood City, California.
Prior
to these positions, Mr. Arrington was acting COO at Global Name
Registry, Ltd., the registry for the .name TLD based in London,
United Kingdom. Prior to his position at GNR, Mr. Arrington was
Co-Founder and Vice President at Achex, Inc., a payments
infrastructure company based in San Francisco, California.
Achex was sold to First Data Corp. (NYSE: FDC) in 2001 for
$32 million. Prior to Achex, Mr. Arrington held various positions at
RealNames Corporation, including General Counsel and VP Sales
& Business Development.
Prior
to RealNames, Mr. Arrington was an attorney at Wilson, Sonsini,
Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto, California where he
specialized in mergers & acquisitions and corporate finance law.
At WSGR, Mr. Arrington co-authored a book on corporate finance
titled The
Initial Public Offering: A Practical Guide for Executives.
Mr. Arrington received a J.D. from Stanford Law School and a
B.A. in Economics from Claremont McKenna College. He is a
member of the California Bar Association.
Taryn
Naidu is the General Manager of Pool.com.
Prior to taking on his duties at Pool.com, Mr. Naidu worked
as a web developer for Momentous.ca.
Prior to Momentous.ca, Mr. Naidu worked as a Software
Consultant for Koni Ameri Tech Services Inc.(KATSI), a
time-material consulting practice organized around three basic
areas: Legacy
Practice, Client-Server Consulting Practice and ERP Consulting
Practice. Katsi�s
Corporate office is located out of Plainsboro, NJ.
Mr. Naidu received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer
Science, minor in Mathematics from the University of Regina in
Regina, Saskatchewan.
Julie
C. Peckham is the Chief Financial Officer of Momentous
and is the acting CFO of Pool.com. She has guided Momentous
companies through significant growth in revenue, personnel and
capital expansion. Prior to joining Momentous, Ms. Peckham had five
years experience with the international accounting firm of KPMG,
principally in the audit and assurance practice for information,
communication and entertainment clients.
Special
project work with KPMG and as an independent contractor includes
initial public offerings and acquisition due diligence. Ms. Peckham
is bilingual, and has worked in England, Australia and Switzerland.
Ms Peckham is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants
of Ontario. Ms. Peckham received a B. Comm. (honors) at Queens
University in Kingston, Ontario.
Mr.
MacLaurin is the Vice President of Operations for Momentous and
is the acting VP Operations for Pool.com, where he oversees
IT, operations and customer service. Prior to joining Momentous, Mr.
MacLaurin was Vice President and General Manager for the NetWinder
division of Rebel.com; an Ottawa based technology company
focusing on Internet Appliances.
Mr.
MacLaurin is a co-founder and former President and CEO of Cyberus
Online Inc., one of the largest Internet Service Providers in Ottawa.
After selling Cyberus to Eisa.com in 1999, Mr. MacLaurin
served the Dallas based Internet company as CTO. Mr. MacLaurin was
one of the founders and a former Director of the Canadian
Association of Internet Providers (CAIP). Mr. MacLaurin has
appeared before the FTC, the Canadian Copyright Board
and the Canadian Senate Sub-Committee on Transportation and
Telecommunications, on matters relating to Internet technology
and policy. Mr. MacLaurin holds a B.A.Sc. from the University of
Ottawa in Electrical Engineering.
Mr.
Ritchie is Director of Engineering for Momentous and is
the acting Director of Engineering for Pool.com. Mr. Ritchie
is an industry veteran with 25 years of product development and
management experience in telecommunications and internet
applications. Mr. Ritchie has held many key positions during his
tenure at Nortel Networks including Business Manager of the
world's first residential broadband network, lead architect of a
world-wide electronic authoring and publishing system, and Product
Manager for Synergy, a third generation digital switching
product.
Mr.
Ritchie was the VP of Technology and Business Development of
NetActive, a $22 million venture-funded startup that focused on
digital rights management and secure content delivery over the
Internet. He was also a founding member and inaugural director of
the Broadband Content Delivery Forum, an industry forum
focused on the business of the security and delivery content over
high-speed networks. Mr. Ritchie is an honors graduate of Queen's
University in Computer Science and Mathematics.
Joyce
Corey - Accounting Manager
Ms.
Corey is the Accounting Manager for Pool.com, with
overall responsibility for accounting operations.
Prior to joining the Momentous group of companies, Ms. Corey
worked as Manager, Accounting for the Canadian Red Cross Society,
where she was responsible for accounting operations throughout the
sale of the blood business and subsequent reorganization.
Ms.
Corey brings 20 years of experience to Pool.com, primarily in the
not-for-profit and public practice sectors.
Ms. Corey is a member of the Certified General Accountants
of Ontario, and received a BBA at Bishop's University, in
Lennoxville, Quebec.
