$233,000 .Com Sale at Sedo Tops This Week's Chart - Two of Year's 10 Biggest .Net Sales Also Reported

I was away on a family vacation in the Pacific Northwest last week so I have a double dose of domain sales data for you this time out that  will bring you completely up to date on the aftermarket sales front. It proved to be a very productive fortnight, led by a Sedo .com sale that reached almost a quarter of a million dollars, two of the year's 10 biggest non .com gTLD sales to date and one of the 12 biggest ccTLD sales (with Sedo accounting for all four of the sales noted).

The chart topper was a €210,000 ($233,100) sale of Sexe.com to an unidentified buyer (the ownership record is under WhoIs privacy). That ranks among the 25 biggest sales reported so far in 2019. It also gave Sedo six of the seven biggest sales on our latest weekly all extension Top 20 Domain Sales Chart. The lone exception was the $70,000 sale of #2 CryptoInsurance.com made by BlockchainNames.com.

Sedo answered with #3 Sudoku.net at $54,825 in the second biggest .net sale reported so far this year (only the $60,000 sale of HorseRacing.net at Sedo in July was higher). In another big .net sale, Sedo moved Madrid.net for $38,850 giving them two new positions  among the year's 10 biggest non .com gTLD sales to date.

By Ron Jackson

The ccTLDs had reason to celebrate too. Sedo's $45,666 sale of #5 Tide.co.uk ranks among the top dozen country code sales reported thus far in 2019.

Uniregistry was also busy making hay, piling up nine places on the elite list led by #8 Calisthentics.com at $30,000. All of the Uni sales were .coms except #20 PDG.it, an Italian country code domain that went for $14,030

Chart honors also went to James Booth's BQDN.com for their $20,000 sale of #12 CBD.world and Efty.com where #16 (tie) Bold.co changed hands for $15,000

Here's how all of the sales leaders stacked for the two weeks ending Sunday, October 13, 2019:

This column is meant to be an educational tool, not a complete list documenting ALL high value domain sales. Such a list is impossible to produce because many sales are kept private at the insistence of buyers, sellers or both. Country Codes

The ccTLDs were, of course, led by that trio of sales that you saw all on the all extension leader board above with Tide.co.uk easily leading the way with a $45,666 payday at Sedo. The first five on our latest weekly Country Code Top 20 Sales Chart was rounded out with two more five-figure sales at Sedo - #4 Grab.ai at $12,500 and #5 Omisan.de at $11,100. The ccTLDs rang up seven five-figure sales in all.

With Sedo sweeping 17 of the 21 chart entries (the extra spot resulting from a tie for the final spot), Uniregistry was the only other venue with multiple chart entries. They claimed three places on the elite list led by #7 Wig.ca at $10,000.

Germany's .de won a tight TLD race with four chart entries, edging Great Britain's .co.uk with three. Here is how the top ccTLD sales stacked up for the two weeks ending Sunday, October 13, 2019:

Non .com gTLDs (.net, .org and others, including new gTLDs)

While only 15 non .com gTLD sales were reported in the past two weeks quality made up for the lack of quantity in this group. As I noted at the top of this report, two of the year's ten biggest sales were just made with Sedo selling Sudoku.net for $54,825 and Madrid.net for $38,850. The #3 sale on our latest weekly Non .Com gTLD Top Sales Chart was also a big one with BQDN.com banking $20,000 for CBD.world. That new gTLD sale ranks among the year's 15 biggest in this category.

Sedo just missed giving this group a fourth five-figure sale as #4 Bonuses.org came in at $9,995. Their sale of new gTLD Hey.money at $8,888 rounded out the first five.

Here is how the 15 reported non .com gTLD sales stacked up for the two weeks ending ending Sunday, October 13, 2019:
