Uniregistry Dominates This Week's Chart After Deciding to Release Their Top Sales Each Week

Uniregistry has been an aftermarket domain sales powerhouse for years now but it wasn't always readily apparent to the public because the company only released their sales data once or twice a year. Thanks to a decision to start releasing their top 20 sales (that are not subject to non disclosure agreements) each week, the industry will now get a much better picture of what is happening in the aftermarket week in and week out . The sales charts will certainly take on a much more muscular look with the Uni data included and seeing so many more high end sales on a regular basis is bound to impress upon potential buyers just how valuable top tier domains are and how consistent the demand for quality domains is week in and week out. I am very happy about that, as I am sure all of our readers will be as well.

The news from Uniregistry was accompanied by a list of the company's top 20 sales in the month of July, with my contact there telling me weekly reporting would begin next week. That July list was powerful enough to give Uniregistry 16 of the 21 positions on our latest weekly all extension Top 20 Sales Chart (the extra spot resulted from a five-way tie for the final position). The Uni haul included the two biggest sales with both of those reaching six figures - chart topper BestDeals.com at $105,000 and #2 Katie.com at $100,000.

By Ron Jackson

James Booth's BQDN.com filled the #3 hole with USU.com at $90,000, followed closely by the $88,000 sale of #4 Bachelor.com via BrokersCrowd.com. Uniregistry completed the first five with Phrase.com at $75,000.

When the numbers are this big the chart is made up almost entirely of .coms and that was indeed the case this week with only one non .com name on the leader board. That was Uniregistry's $22,000 sale of a Chinese ccTLD,  #16 Ruby.cn

Sedo helped the .com cause with their $68,000 sale of #7 7F.com. Sister sites NameJet and SnapNames also released their July sales this week, including some more completed sales from the NameJet/RightOfTheDot NamesCon Europe auction in June. One from the latter group is #11 4M.com at $36,000. Nametra.com gave the .coms a boost too with #15 ProductSamples.com at $23,000.

Here's a look at how all of the sales leaders stacked for the week ending Sunday, August 4, 2019:

This column is meant to be an educational tool, not a complete list documenting ALL high value domain sales. Such a list is impossible to produce because many sales are kept private at the insistence of buyers, sellers or both. Country Codes

While the ccTLDs only had one entry on the all extension leader board above they actually had a very strong week that was overshadowed by the flood of high end .com sales. In addition to country code chart topper Ruby.cn at $22,000, three more domains in this category reached figures. NSE.co is #2 on our latest weekly Country Code Top 20 Sales Chart at $17,000 and LSD.co is #3 (tie) at $15,000 with Uniregistry booking that trio. Sedo rounded out the first five with #3 (tie) Piano.tv and #5 GLS.co at $9,759.

DomainLore.uk was among the venues that enjoyed a solid week, filling four spots on the leader board with #8 Room.uk leading their quartet at $6,221.

Great Britain's .uk scored an easy win in the extension race, sweeping 13 of the 20 chart entries. Here is how the top ccTLD sales stacked up for the week ending Sunday, August 4, 2019:
