Diverse Week for Domain Sales With a Pair of 3-Letter .Coms, 5 ccTLDs and 3 .ORGs in the Top 20

We didn't see any six-figure domain sales this week but our latest weekly all extension Top 20 Sales Chart is an unusually diverse one in terms of the broad assortment of TLDs on the elite list. As they usually do, the .coms led the way, taking 13 of the 21 chart entries (the extra position resulting from a tie for the final spot) but the ccTLDs and Non .com gTLDs (well, at least one them) had reason to celebrate.

Three-letter .coms took two of the top three spots with Sedo selling #1 RPO.com for $50,000 while NameJet moved #3 VZN.com for $23,700. Sandwiched between those two was Sedo's $40,000 sale of #2 Insura.com. Sedo went on to pile up 11 chart entries overall. NameJet who, along with their Web.com sister company, SnapNames, released all of the their May sales this week, also had a strong outing with nine names on the Big Board. SnapNames picked up one as well with #8 Refuse.com at $15,200.

Sedo's haul included all five of the country code domains on the leader board, with those spread across four different TLDs. #4 Perfectos.cn led that quintet at $23,000, followed by #9 Navi.co at $15,000. The group was rounded out by a .co.uk and two .de domains on the second half of the honor roll.

By Ron Jackson

While Sedo monopolized ccTLD sales, NameJet accounted for all three of the Non .com gTLD sales - with all of those came from one TLD - .ORG. #13 Iceland.org led that trio at $12,100 with #14 MicroCreditSummit.org adding $11,700 and #20 (tie) MadeInUSA.org chipping in $8,500.

Here's a look at how all of the sales leaders stacked for the week ending Sunday, June 2, 2019:

Country Codes

The ccTLDs were, of course, led by the quintet of five-figure sales you saw on the all extension leader board above, with Sedo's $23,000 sale of Chinese country code domain Perfectos.cn setting the pace. The biggest sale in this group that you haven't seen yet is #6 on our latest Country Code Top Sales Chart. That also comes from Sedo - a $7,280 sale of ITJobs.id.

Only 12 sales were reported from this category and Sedo accounted for all 12 of those. Their hit parade continued with #7 PosterStore.es at $4,424. Here is how the top ccTLD sales stacked up for the week ending Sunday, June 2, 2019:

Non .com gTLDs (.net, .org and others, including new gTLDs)

It was very much a .ORG week in the Non .com gTLD category. As you saw on the all extension leader board above, the top three sales in this group were all .ORGs. But it went further than that. The .ORGs swept the first eight places in a row on our latest Non .com gTLD Top 20 Sales Chart, and 12 of the 20 entries overall.

NameJet led all venues with 11 chart entries including 8 of the top 9. The one they didn't get, #6 Augustus.org, went to their sister company, SnapNames, at $5,000. NameJet's $4,400 sale of #9 5D.net finally broke the .ORG run at the top. The .nets wound up with three charted sales, as did .club whose trio was led by Man.club and Tip.club, names that tied for #11 at $4,000 apiece via GoDaddy.
