A One-Word .COM  and the Year's Biggest ccTLD Sale to Date Headline This Week's Domain Sales Chart

You could call the #1 domain on our latest weekly all extension Top 20 Sales Chart a monumental sale even though it fell a little short of six figures. In this case the domain itself was Monument.com, a name that towered high enough to attract $90,000 in a sale made by BQDN.com broker James Booth. Another solid .com sale filled the runner-up slot with Apex Moon fetching $75,000 for Fiona.com.

Another major highlight of the week was the biggest ccTLD sale we've seen so far this year - Sedo's $66,640 sale of Seereisen.de ("sea travel" in German) in a deal handled by their International Sales Consultant Albert Schimmel. With that transaction Sedo surpassed a high water mark they set themselves just two weeks ago when they sold IA.de for $62,150

Sedo, who swept 16 of the 20 chart entries, rounded out the first five with CasinoEngine.com at $40,000 and Slot777.com at $37,335. Their haul also included all four of the country code domains that earned spots on the elite list. Three of those landed in the top ten where #6 Jack.de and #8 Vapy.de at $12,320 joined Seereisen.de (a nice trifecta for Germany's .de ccTLD).

By Ron Jackson

The non .com gTLDs were limited to two spots, both filled by Sedo with #15 NGJ.org at $8,800 and #19 SelfStorage.info at $6,999

Everything else went to the .coms as they piled up 14 chart entries. VRE Group Ltd. helped the .com cause with their $15,000 sale of #7 CostaRicaTravel.com to industry pioneer/entrepreneur Monte Cahn who we understand is launching his own Costa Rican travel venture.

Now, here's a look at how all of the sales leaders stacked for the week ending Sunday, April 28, 2019:

Country Codes

The ccTLDs were led by the four sales you saw on the all extension leader board above with Sedo's big $66,640 sale of Seereisen.de - the year's biggest country code sale to date - setting the pace. The biggest sale in this group that you haven't seen yet is #5 on our latest weekly Country Code Top Sales Chart. That is Sedo's $5,999 sale of RowingBlazers.us.

Sedo went on to sweep every 19 of the 20 chart entries. The only exception was the $5,000 sale of #11 (tie) Privacy.tv in, appropriately enough, a private transaction.

Germany's .de scored a run away win in the extension race, piling up seven chart entries including all of the top three sales. The only other TLD with more than one sale was the United States domain, .us, with two. Here is how the top ccTLD sales stacked up for the week ending Sunday, April 21, 2019:
